The San Antonio Ragtime Society has been in existence since 2001, with the sole purpose of promoting and preserving America's first original music, Ragtime. Each fall, the SA Ragtime Society holds their Youth Ragtime Competition and Annual Ragtime Concert. Brian Holland has been their contest judge and featured performer since it's inception. Brian also invites various students from the contest to perform at the concert, held the following afternoon, which gives them a chance to exhibit their talents and abilities in front of a warm and receptive audience.
