The Holland Rhythm Company, formed in 2004 by leader and pianist Brian Holland, is the epitome of a musical good time.

Joining Brian on rhythmboard is one of the ragtime and jazz industry's most talented and tasteful percussionists, Mike Schwimmer, whose inimitable style is sought after worldwide.  Mike also serves as the voice of the band, his vast knowledge of ragtime, jazz-time, and early American popular music shining through each performance.

On upright bass is Atlantic City's own Chris Quaile, who comes from an entire family of musicians who are known throughout the upper east coast.  Lending a percussive style of "gut-bucket" bass, Chris is the backbone of the group.

Original frontline members, Paul Scavarda (banjo, ukulele, mandolin, guitar, etc.) and Theresa Allen (lead vocals) share their time between the Holland Rhythm Co. here in the states, and traveling abroad to Japan, where they perform as a string/washboard/vocals duo.

Most recently joining the band, in Theresa and Paul's occasional absence, are Bud Dresser and Bill Mason.

Bud Dresser is an original member of the Dallas Hot 5 Jazz Band.  He has played with Smokey Montgomery, The Light Crust Doughboys, Dr. John "Knocky" Parker, and a host of other renowned popular music personalities.  Bud and Brian have now formed B-Square, traveling around as a duo on piano & sousaphone/flugabone, playing parties and concerts all over the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Bill Mason is an original member of the St. Louis Ragtimers, and still performs all over the country with that group as well as the Holland Rhythm Company.  Bill is widely known as one of the most talented and "tastiest" cornet & trumpet players in the world.  His mellow style and laidback approach make his sound easy to love.

The Holland Rhythm Company released their first CD, "Be Gentle...It's Our First Time" in 2004 to rave reviews.  Check Brian's Schedule page for information about where to find the Holland Rhythm Company in 2006!
