ANNOUNCING B-Square's New Recording! Grammy Nominated! B-Square was formed in 2005 as an alternative to the big Dixieland jazz bands currently canvassing the traditional music scene. Brian Holland (piano) and Bud Dresser (sousaphone/flugabone) decided that they could encourage audiences to have just as much fun as they would listening to a full-sized jazz band by kicking up the energy and audience participation quotient. Touring all over the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas, B-Square is making more than just a small splash in a big pond. Combining piano ragtime with traditional jazz and early popular music has always seemed like a natural thing to Brian and Bud - however, it's a novelty to find such a diverse duo in any form of music. Playing music from the late 1890's all the way through the middle of the last century, B-Square is the ideal duo for everything from ragtime and jazz festivals and concerts to private parties, retirement communities, and assisted living facilities. Residing under the Holland Entertainment umbrella, B-Square is also able to add members at any request, depending on the size of the gig.
